WHO? Stacy Huffstetler!
ROLE? She is a founding partner of Widget Brain who opened a North American branch in March. She is currently working on hiring team members, maintaining customers, outreach, business development, and growing the North American customer base.
WIDGET BRAIN? Provides algorithms as a service to help companies collect and analyze data to improve business functionality. They have 15-20 employees and have branches in Europe, Australia and North America.
BIGGEST WIN IN THE PAST YEAR?
She saw a market for Widget Brain in North America and successfully started a branch here, signing up 4 customers in the past 6 months.
HOW?
She moved to the New North End in Burlington last month from Philadelphia with her husband Bill and pit-bull Bassett hound named Bean. On a search for a new city to live in, Burlington was their first and last stop.
BIG PICTURE or DAY BY DAY?
Definitely big picture. She lets her employees take care of the details, while she thinks big and achieves big. She also sometimes finds herself looking up things like the distance from here to Nova Scotia. Road trip anyone?
FUN? While she’s not playing ultimate frisbee, hiking or biking, she’s learning how to play Bridge and would love some in-house VCET Bridge games. Challenge accepted.
PIZZA? Franco Luigis in Philly, a city that does big slices. She would opt for spinach, mushroom, broccoli and more veggies TBD
