Sam Roach-Gerber Promoted to Vice President at Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies
Burlington, VT (July 23, 2020) – The Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) announced the promotion of Sam Roach-Gerber to Vice President, a role in which she will continue to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship throughout Vermont.
Roach-Gerber most recently held the role of Director of Innovation at VCET, where she helped lead operations and marketing, launched and co-hosted VCET’s podcast, Start Here, and spearheaded the Female Founders Speaker Series, which highlights some of Vermont’s most innovative women entrepreneurs. Sam started at VCET as the Manager of Community Engagement and Operations in February 2016.
“Sam’s entrepreneurship course and startup coaching for Middlebury College students and young alumni are so helpful as we work to encourage young professionals to create new companies and employment opportunities for this next generation,” said longtime VCET Board member and Middlebury College Innovation Hub founder Elizabeth Robinson. “Sam is leading the way in Vermont in this regard.”
Roach-Gerber took on the position of Vice President beginning July 15th, assuming a more active role in coaching and consulting the 300+ entrepreneurs that come through VCET’s doors each year seeking business advice and mentoring.

Roach-Gerber will also continue to expand the organization’s partnerships for the continued benefit of Vermont’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, leading the organization through the economic downturn following COVID-19, ensuring that Vermont companies and entrepreneurs have the continued support they need to thrive. She is also on the board of Vermont Works for Women, and was named one of Vermont’s 2018 Rising Stars.
