Jobs in Vermont launches on the VCET Platform to connect Top Talent with Career Opportunities
(Burlington, Vt.) – July 2nd, 2025 – Finding a job is hard. Especially in the era of AI, job boards like Indeed, Handshake, and LinkedIn are frustrating for job seekers and employers alike. To help address this frustration, a new job board compiled by the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies at vcet.co will streamline and simplify connections between Vermont employers and job seekers. Highly curated, place-based, and completely free to all users, the new platform allows job seekers to use a variety of search criteria to hone in on specific roles and companies.
Through its no-cost advising and suite of portfolio companies, VCET serves roughly 100 job seekers and employers at any one time who are looking for their next match.
“The quality and volume of inbound talent we’re seeing is remarkable, but the efficiency in making smart connections and referrals is overwhelming for all involved,” says Nicole Eaton, Venture Platform Director. “We need to grow the talent pool in Vermont and show our best opportunities possible. This tool will ensure those connections happen faster, more efficiently, and with greater impact.”
The Jobs in Vermont board is a highly curated list of job opportunities at technology companies, partners, and firms offering employment for everyone from recent graduates to the “C” suite. This job board is no hassle, no cost, and open to anyone. The goal is to make it easier for job seekers to find high-quality jobs in Vermont, without scrolling for hours to find only a few solid options.
“There is so much noise in hiring right now. With click-to-apply or AI application tools, we’re wading through dozens of applications for every one that is a potential fit,” said Diane Abruzzini Riggs, CEO of Rigorous Technology. “In Vermont, referrals and local networks still matter. A platform that scales that kind of connection, without losing the human touch, can be truly impactful.”
As the VCET nonprofit reaches its twentieth year serving Vermont, its team is excited to keep the momentum going with this launch. VCET has been instrumental in seeding innovation programs for internships, crowdfunding, accelerators and seed funding. The Jobs in Vermont resource is a timely initiative based upon the needs of employers and job seekers today. The organization is dedicated to the entire state of Vermont and this job board reaches both individuals and companies from all around the state.
“People who know you, and know the company, can put together a pre-vetted match better than any other method I’ve seen in my career,” said Benjamin Hardy, Managing Partner at Prime Engineering. “People are looking out for each other, for alignment of values and mission. The trust network is always looking out for great opportunities for the great people they have worked with.”
It’s available to all, so start sharing…or applying.
