The Eastern Regional Outreach Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Elizabeth Dougherty, will be discussing the importance of developing an Intellectual Property (IP) strategy. The discussion will also include information on the value of protecting IP when starting a business.
Ms. Dougherty has more than 25 years of experience working at the USPTO. She served as the Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO. In this role, she worked closely across the Agency’s leadership to implement the policies and priorities for the USPTO.
