Entrepreneur and Community Advocate Kelly Keen Named Manager of Operations and Culture at VCET
Burlington, VT (November 29, 2021) – The Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) is proud to announce the addition of Kelly Keen as its new Manager of Operations and Culture, a role in which she will curate VCET’s robust member community and daily success of VCET’s downtown Burlington, VT coworking and accelerator facility.
Most recently, Keen was the General Manager at ArtsRiot, a fabled Burlington restaurant and event space, where she was responsible for daily operations, food & beverage, marketing, event consulting, and human resources.
Keen is a Vermont native and a graduate of Colorado State University, where she received her degree in nutrition and biomedical sciences. After residing in Seattle, Washington for a year she decided to move back to Vermont where she established Mina’s Ginger Beer, a fresh juice soda sold at the Burlington, Winooski, and Middlebury farmers markets.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome Kelly to our team,” said Sam Roach-Gerber, VCET’s vice president. “Her deep operational experience, entrepreneurial background, and passion for community make her a perfect fit to help nurture and grow the VCET community.”
Coming off a record year at VCET, serving entrepreneurs and coworkers, Keen will continue to build trusted relationships with VCET community members and foster an ecosystem of engagement, positivity, inclusion, and mutual success. She will also work to recruit new members, manage logistics to sustain and grow a great community of coworkers, manage VCET’s Scale Here program (a curated platform of resources, perks, and discounts for Vermont’s entrepreneurs), and much more.
